Information for Transfer In Students

  • Accepts Transfers:
    Ursuline College is transfer friendly.
  • Technical/Vocation Credit Accepted:
    We will accept up to 20 credits of vocational/technical courses from other institutions; generally, these may be used as elective credit only.
  • Credit For Life Experience:
    Ursuline College allows students to pursue college credit outside the traditional classroom setting through alternative credit options that include portfolio assessment, military, and/or workplace training.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Your GPA from other institutions does not transfer, but we do calculate your college GPA across all institutions attended. This GPA is used for admission and scholarship decisions.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended are required. If you have fewer than 30 transferrable college credits, we’ll need your high school transcript.
  • SAT Scores:
    Ursuline is test-optional. However, if you are under age 23, you can elect to submit your ACT or SAT scores.
  • Other Requirements:
    If you are applying to the Breen School of Nursing from another nursing program, we’ll request a letter of good standing from your dean.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Any grade lower than a C will not be accepted in transfer.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    We will transfer a max of 90 credit hours, including alternative credit options. A minimum of 30 credits must be earned at Ursuline, including half the courses required for your major. Our Core Curriculum has 3 classes that can't be transferred in.
