Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  To apply for any sort of federal financial aid ? loans, grants or work study ? you must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It can be filed online beginning in December of each year for the following academic year. Be sure to include The University of Toledo's school code: 003131. When you apply, you’ll automatically be considered for transfer admission merit scholarships. No other application necessary.

Information for Transfer In Students

• Credit For Life Experience:
  Students who are not eligible for transfer credit, may earn credit for relevant knowledge, work, and life experiences through the PLA process.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  Each academic college has its own GPA and/or credit hour requirements for their programs. Transfer students with below a 2.0 cumulative transfer GPA and/or those not meeting individual program requirements will be admitted into the Exploratory Studies program in University College.
• Official Transcripts:
  Official transcripts from every college you've attended or started are required. If you are applying for financial aid and haven't earned an associate degree or 60 college credits, your official high school transcript or GED diploma is required.
• SAT Scores:
  You may be required to take placement tests, depending on your major and ACT/SAT score. The tests will assist us in placing you in the correct course level.
• Essay:
  An essay or personal statement is not required.
• Application Fee:
  The application fee is $25.
• Interview:
  An interview is not required.
• Other Requirements:
  If you were suspended or dismissed from another institution, you will be required to provide additional documentation to UToledo.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is D-.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  You must complete 30 credits in residence at UToledo to earn a bachelor's degree.
