Minimum GPA:
Key criteria we take into consideration, include: your cumulative GPA, the quality of your curriculum, your class rank if available, and your standardized test scores.
Official Transcripts:
Final official high school/secondary school record (including 9th-12th grades and graduation date) or GED exam results and official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions, including college transcripts from any dual enrollment.
SAT Scores:
Optional: ACT/SAT (only tests taken as a high school student will be accepted). Students are welcome to self-report test scores directly on application.
Letters of Recommendation:
Not required unless requested: Academic Evaluator/Instructor recommendation, college report, and midyear report
Essay:
Essays and a personal statement are required. Transfer students should provide a statement addressing your reasons for transferring and your objectives. Marsal Family School of Ed transfer applicants are required to submit a separate essay.
Application Fee:
Completed Common Application, along with $75 application fee or fee waiver request.
Other Requirements:
Our Office of Undergraduate Admissions handles transfers for the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts and the College of Engineering. For information about transferring to other U-M schools and colleges, please contact their representatives.
