  • Credit For Life Experience:
    Stark State offers multiple ways for students to pursue prior learning credit. Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) can apply to knowledge gained from work experience; training programs and/or certifications; military service; and CLEP, IB, or AP exams.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Official Transcripts:
    To register for courses, you’ll need to supply your official high school transcript or GED certificate and scores and official transcripts from ALL colleges you previously attended
  • SAT Scores:
    For placement assessment you can provide ACT or SAT scores (taken within the last 5 years) or take the ACCUPLACER test.
  • Other Requirements:
    You’ll need to complete a new student in-person or online orientation before you can register for classes.
