Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    In general, a 2.0 minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) from each previous institution attended is required. However, the Admissions Committee reserves the right to evaluate the GPA based upon transferrable academic credit versus transferrable elective credit.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Provide an official transcript from each institution attended after high school (including non-accredited institutions). If you have fewer than 30 transferrable credits, it may be necessary to submit a final high school transcript.
  • SAT Scores:
    For placement purposes, it may be necessary to provide ACT or SAT scores. If ACT or SAT scores are not available, it may be necessary to take additional testing on campus at Malone.
  • Essay:
    In some cases, the Admissions Committee may request an additional essay from an applicant in order to acquire a more complete understanding of the applicant’s academic history prior to rendering the admission decision.
