  • Scholarships and Financial Aid:
    To be considered for all sources of financial aid, including institutional need-based grants, federal and state aid, students must complete FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). You need to include?HIRAM COLLEGE’S SCHOOL CODE (003049). All admitted transfer students are eligible to receive a merit-based scholarship ranging from $9,000-$15,000 annually. Transfer students are able to enroll at multiple entry points over the course of the academic year.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    We offer direct admission to all transfer students who hold an associate degree and have a cumulative GPA of 2.4 or above. If you meet these requirements, you can be confident you’ll be admitted!
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official college transcripts are required. An official high school transcript may be required of some applicants.
  • SAT Scores:
    Hiram College recognizes that standardized testing isn’t always an accurate measurement of a student’s academic abilities. Respectively, Hiram is committed to looking at the whole person. Some partnership programs require ACT scores for admission.
  • Essay:
    Not required.
  • Interview:
    Not required.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    At Hiram, we see the value of the unique skillset your associate degree provides! Students who have earned their associate degree or students who have earned 64 or more credits may transfer those credits as a block.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    The lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit is C.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    The maximum credits or courses that may be accepted for transfer is 75. You must complete 45 credits in residence at Hiram to earn a bachelor's degree.
