Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 is required but does not guarantee acceptance. Gordon participates in the Massachusetts Transfer Guarantee program, which ensures acceptance and junior status to students who have completed an associate's degree from a Massachusetts community college with a minimum GPA of 2.5. All applicants who have earned an associate’s degree in a liberal arts major with a minimum GPA of 2.5 will waive most core courses. Whenever possible, appropriate transfer courses will be applied to these requirements, but when not possible, the core requirement will be waived. Some programs or scholarships may still require students to complete courses that may have been waived as a core requirement.
  • Official Transcripts:
Transfer applicants must submit official college transcript and official high school transcript (if less than 24 college credits completed).
  • SAT Scores:
    Gordon College is test optional.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
Letters or recommendation are welcome, but they are not required.
  • Essay:
We don’t require you to write a personal statement or essay! After reviewing your application, we may find that we’d like to know a little more about you, so we may ask you for additional material or samples of your academic work.
  • Application Fee:
    There is no application fee.
  • Interview:
We welcome the opportunity to get to know you and answer your questions, but the interview is not required.
  • Associates Degree Required:
An associate's degree is not required. Gordon is a member of the Massachusetts Transfer Guarantee. For information on the program, check www.gordon.edu/transfer.
  • Other Requirements:
