Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    In general, a minimum 2.0 GPA is preferred. A higher GPA may be required or preferred, depending on the major.
  • Official Transcripts:
    High school and college transcript(s) from all institutions attended are required. High school transcripts may not be required, depending upon the number of college credits completed.
  • SAT Scores:
    SAT/ACT scores are not required for transfer students (with the possible exception of applicants to the Nursing program.)
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Encouraged but not required.
  • Essay:
    Encouraged but not required.
  • Application Fee:
    $35 or fee waiver.
  • Interview:
    Encouraged but not required.

    No minimum or maximum, but exceptions to maximum credits may apply depending on major. Must meet residency requirement (30 of the last 60 semester-hours must be completed at Penn West), and 50% of major courses from a PA State System University.
