Effective Jan. 1, 2026, Georgia Southern University and East Georgia State College (EGSC) have consolidated to form a single, unified university that builds upon the strengths, traditions and missions of both campuses. This strategic move is focused on expanding educational opportunities for students, enhancing support services, and strengthening the long-term sustainability of our institutions—all while continuing to drive economic and workforce development across our region.
