Information for Transfer In Students

  • Credit For Life Experience:
    A max of 30 credits of test-out credit (AP, IB, CLEP, etc.), JST military credits, and credit for prior learning (with official documentation-portfolio) will be considered for transfer.

Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required for full acceptance for undergraduate School of Liberal Arts and Sciences students. Students with a GPA below which is required for their school may be considered for provisional acceptance.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Official high school transcripts or GED certificates with a score averaging 52 or higher and official college transcripts from all schools you have received credit are required.
  • SAT Scores:
    Official standardized test scores are required of students who have taken the SAT, ACT, or other entrance exams.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    Not required. If you are transferring in with a completed Associates of Arts or Fine Arts degree, grades of D-/+ may transfer if awarded prior to the completion of your degree and will count as having completed all General Education requirements.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Only courses awarded with a C- or above from regionally accredited institutions will be assessed for transfer credit. Grades of "Pass" or "Satisfactory" will be considered.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    Students may transfer a max of 90 credits from four-year institutions and 64 from two-year institutions. Transfer students must complete 30 of the last 60 credits in residence at CCCK to earn a degree.
