Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    Your admission to Capital is based on a comprehensive review of your academic record, including: at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for all previous college work, your high school information if you have fewer than 30 semester college credit hours, proof you are in good academic and social standing at the last institution you attended.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Have your official transcripts from all institutions you previously attended sent to Capital University. If you have fewer than 30 college credit hours, please provide an official high school transcript.
  • SAT Scores:
    Submitting ACT or SAT scores is optional. If you feel your scores strengthen your application, go ahead and send them our way.
  • Essay:
    An essay or personal statement is not required.
  • Application Fee:
    $0
  • Interview:
    An interview is not required.
  • Other Requirements:
    If you plan to major in music or nursing, you will need to meet additional requirements as part of your application process.

Transfer Credit Policy

  • Minimum Grade:
    Credit will be granted on a semester-equivalent basis for courses successfully completed with a grade of C- or better, unless the you've received an associate or bachelor degree. In those cases, all courses (D or higher) will transfer.
  • Credits (Min/Max):
    To receive a major from Capital University you must complete 12 semester hours in the major in residence at Capital University.
