Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every year so you are aware of your options and so that you can be considered for UMGC Scholarships as well. The school code for UMGC is 011644. We recommend submitting a FAFSA to UMGC even if you have yet to be admitted. This way, once you are admitted, we can begin the process of reviewing your application without delay.
• Tuition and Fees:
  At UMGC, tuition costs and university fees are competitive and affordable across the board. We also offer low in-state rates for Maryland residents and reduced tuition for military servicemembers, their spouses, and dependent children.

Information for Transfer In Students

• Accepts Transfers:
  Our flexible transfer credit policies allow you to transfer more credits than you might be able to at other schools. In fact, 78% of our undergraduate students transfer credits to UMGC and the average transfer student has 5 transcripts.
• Credit For Life Experience:
  We recognize that college-level learning happens in many places outside of the classroom—whether it's on the job, in the military, or through life or volunteer experiences. At UMGC, you can earn credit for your experiences.

• Official Transcripts:
  At University of Maryland Global Campus, undergraduate students must submit official transcripts from all institutions previously attended, including high school and any colleges.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  Transfer credits from approved two- and four-year colleges and universities for courses in which you earned a grade of at least C may be accepted for courses that apply to your curriculum.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  Transfer up to 45 credits toward an associate's degree or up to 90 credits toward a bachelor's degree from approved colleges or universities.
