Founded in 1883, the University of Auckland is the country’s largest university with over 40,000 students, nearly 10,000 of whom graduate annually. We conduct teaching and learning within six faculties, two large-scale research institutes, and other institutes and centres. Students who embark on a University of Auckland research-informed education join an inclusive lifelong learning culture. Through the curriculum, and through the richness of experiences of University life, students will be highly connected to knowledges of place and conversant in matauranga Maori, kaupapa Maori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and accountabilities.
